Alama DIAWARA

Founder of Didial Conseil and Chairman of Groupe Didial, Alama DIAWARA is a recognised leader in life insurance and bancassurance. He brings more than ten years of experience across West Africa — Guinea, Senegal, Mali and Côte d’Ivoire. His career combines technical expertise, commercial excellence and a strong sense of governance.

He began his career abroad, first as a client adviser at MidiVertAfrica, AXA’s partner in Senegal, then as a mobile banking trainer at Lemonway in Mali. He went on to join NSIA Banque Côte d’Ivoire, working on insurance solutions for corporate clients. Back in Guinea, he spent five years contributing to the growth of NSIA Vie Assurances Guinée, the subsidiary of a pan-African group present in 17 countries. As Head of Bancassurance & Partnerships, he built the distribution network with the country’s banks. He then became Department Head and later Commercial Development Director, steering the subsidiary’s commercial strategy nationwide.

In 2024 he joined Lanala Assurances Vie as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, where he led the company’s restructuring and strategic repositioning. Appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2026, he held full strategic responsibility until August 2026: budget, results, operations, regulatory compliance, and relations with the Board and the regulators.

He holds a five-year degree in Banking and Financial Engineering, specialising in International Private Banking (Groupe AFI/UE, Dakar), a four-year degree in Banking, Insurance and Finance from the Institut International de Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He has trained with leading institutions on the continent — HEC Maroc, HEC Rabat and H&C Executive Education — in leadership, commercial transformation and ISO 9001 quality management. He now devotes his experience to the vision and development of Didial Conseil and of Groupe DIDIAL as a whole, with a single ambition: to build a solid, innovative institution that serves its clients for the long term.
